Sustainable Wales is delighted to announce its next ‘Green Room’ event will feature Porthcawl writer Tom Anderson’s first novel, ‘The Actaeon Tide’, published by Parthian.
Tom is known for his accounts of surfing around the world, described in volumes such as ‘Chasing Dean’ and ‘Riding the Magic Carpet’ (Summersdale.)
The Actaeon Tide is Anderson’s first novel and marks an ambitious step forward in his writing.
It brings together Tom’s interests in surfing and the health of our oceans with his experience of working for a detective agency.
This Green Room event serves as the first local launch of ‘The Actaeon Tide’. Tom Anderson lives in Porthcawl and is an English teacher in Cardiff.

Tom’s debut thriller, The Actaeon Tide, came out in the autumn of 2014, while Code Black (due in March 2015) will tell tales of the heavy winter storms that hit Wales and the South West last year. Tom is also the current Chair of the Welsh Academy, as well as an adept broadcaster and public speaker. For more info on professional engagements see this Writers of Wales page.
