First steps in the Porthcawl Hillsboro Place town entrance improvement project

Our first site meeting between SUSSED, The Porthcawl Chamber of Trade and Jacob from BCBC planning dept.

We aim to to improve the pedestrian access from Hillsboro car park into Porthcawl town centre; creating a much more attractive pathway area. The idea in the first phase is to build, from old wooden pallets a series of planters (see below for a prototype) and seed the rough ground area with wildflowers that will encourage pollinators and look welcoming. This area has really been a disgrace for years and recently prone to fly-tipping.

We will need compost, bulbs, plants. wildflower seeds, donations (see below) and help. Contact us here if you can help, want to contribute your time, or you can ring SUSSED on 01656 783962.
